How to do it...

What you need:
Paper
Scissors
Pen
Ruler
Glue
Waterproof Sealant (not necessary, but certainly nice to prevent water damage)

Step One:

Find paper. Any paper. Boring, fancy, colorful, plain. Whatever paper you have laying around will only make the beads look cooler in the end. So my suggestion is to go around your house and grab all the paper you are thinking about throwing away. Even bills. Bank statements. Hell, money if you're not that attached to it. You won't be able to recognize any of the information once the beads are made, so instead of wasting the precious trees that we destroy with stupid things, like money, use your paper for beads!

I suggest not using a sharpie to draw
out your shapes. I used it purely for
demonstration purposes.
Step Two:

Map out your triangles. Using an inch is perfect for bigger beads, half is good for smaller ones. There's no need to get all mathematical.  Just make a triangle with 2 equal sides and one smaller side (I guess that's called Isosceles?)

But the cool thing about art is that mistakes are gold.
Go crazy, make a dinosaur shape, a handshake shape, maybe even a ape with a date kind-a shapeor i guess you could cut out circles....if you're boring. HA
Massachusetts state shapes would be cool though, probably.

Finally,
The most important step. The crucial moment where everything could go wrong. The one that makes you sweat. The one that could potentially deteriorate any will towards furthering this project or any other for that matter. The one that will make you re-think yourself and your personal goals. The one that will turn you into a lazy, emotion-less, pathetic couch po-ta-to. That's right couch PO-TA-TO.

*note* If you are already someone who identifies with the term couch potato, as in, you think you possess the qualities listed in the previous paragraph, this is also referred to as a first world problem. Please get up. The world is searching, begging, starving for your happiness. Put that smile in the sunshine, and strongly consider burning your couch.

Now, it's all in the way you roll it. Have confidence, take a deep breathe, and get your game face on, let your thumbs lead the way.

And don't forget the glue. Different shapes and paper thicknesses will require varying glue amounts. Glue stick is suggested, but like I said, mistakes are like gold, different types of glue will only encourage the uniqueness of the bead. Imagine if you used paint...holy cow.

It's all about sticking your knees in the mud, getting dirt under your fingernails, diving head first into unknown territory. A risk. A chance. Get creative, I know you can do it.

And if you really want to you can spray it with waterproof sealant. This would be helpful if you plan on making jewelry with these little things. Because they are made out of paper, they probably wouldn't last a shower.

Well, that's how you make these little buggers. I hope I explained the process well enough. Any questions? I'm always up for suggestions for improvement. Let me know what you think. Let me know what you do with them.

Oh geez, my apologies, I forgot how little we know each other.
Well, in case you forgot my name is Sweens.
I'm quite possibly the worst at remembering names, what's yours again?
I should have probably mentioned somewhere that I love to exaggerate.
And I'm sorry if the whole couch potato thing was offensive, actually no I'm not.

Wow guys. Two whole posts! If I keep this up I'm gonna become a regular ol' blogger!
